Thriller/Suspense Generic Conventions

3 comments:

  1. Good, but needs more...

Narration & Todorov - give examples of films for each stage, not just 1/2

Costume & Make Up - examples needed (Images and text)

Lighting - mention how darkness has connotations of the unknown, evil, danger (something we recognise in so many thrillers)

Actors - think actor 'types' too - the teenage girl, jock, creepy old man, innocent victims and so on. Think about body language, expressions, gestures too. What you have there is fine but more is needed

Props - masks, weapons, huts, hostels, chains...there's loads. The Psycho e.g. needs explaining
Think about the connotations of each prop too (and every e.g. used in the Prezi) i.e. violence, threat, danger, mystery

Sound in M-E-S? You miss out settings. Sound needs more examples - Hitchcock's films are great for this. YouTube will have lots of e.g.'s

Camera - no mention of handheld. No examples.

Finish with a conclusion (list them all)

This is good but needs to be better - it's one of the most vital posts

Finally, I need to know everyone contributed equally to this.
